International Journal on Emerging Technologies provides a publicly available policy that prohibits the use of generative artificial intelligence tools in manuscript writing and peer review to ensure human authorship, confidentiality, and academic integrity.
International Journal on Emerging Technologies is committed to safeguarding academic integrity, transparency, and human authorship in scholarly publishing. The journal therefore maintains a clear and publicly available policy regarding the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools.
Use of GenAI by Authors
The journal does not permit the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools (including, but not limited to, ChatGPT, GPT-based systems, or similar technologies) for the writing, generation, or substantive modification of manuscripts.
Authors are fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their work. GenAI tools may not be credited as authors or co-authors, and responsibility for scholarly content cannot be attributed to automated systems. The use of GenAI to generate text, analyze data, interpret results, or formulate conclusions is considered incompatible with accepted standards of academic authorship.
Author Declaration on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)
The authors declare that no generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools were used in the writing, generation, or substantive modification of this manuscript, nor in the analysis, interpretation, or presentation of the research findings. The authors take full responsibility for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of the submitted work.
Use of GenAI in Peer Review
Reviewers are strictly prohibited from using GenAI tools in the preparation of peer review reports. Peer review requires independent expert judgment and adherence to confidentiality obligations. Uploading manuscripts or review materials into GenAI systems constitutes a breach of confidentiality and ethical standards.
Editorial Oversight and Compliance
The editorial office reserves the right to investigate suspected misuse of GenAI tools. Any violations of this policy will be addressed in accordance with the journal’s procedures for handling allegations of misconduct, including possible rejection, retraction, or other corrective actions. This policy is aligned with internationally recognized principles of publication ethics and supports the journal’s commitment to responsible and transparent scholarly communication.
