Amongst the pests, sap feeders like aphid (Aphis craccivora) and jassid (Empoasca kerri) play major role in reducing the yield quality and quantity of the crop. An experiment was thus conducted to assess the influence of weather factors on population build up of A. craccivora and E. kerri in black gram crop during pre-kharif and post kharif season of two years 2018 and 2019. Pests’ data of four crop seasons, when corroborated with weather parameters it was revealed that evening relative humidity and rainfall had a negative significant influence on aphid population in both the seasons.
