Abstract

India, an agricultural nation, confronts severe food scarcity amidst rapid population growth and labour migration from rural agriculture to more profitable jobs. This paper explores advanced agricultural technologies as a solution, highlighting smart farming tools such as sensors, drones, robots, IoT, UAVs, GPS and GIS. These innovations facilitate real-time monitoring of crops, soil and the environment. They enhance the efficiency through aerial surveys and AI-powered robotics for precision planting, automated data exchange and farm management. GPS and GIS contribute to accurate land mapping and informed crop planning. Although these technologies offer the potential for increased productivity and sustainable practices, their field implementation poses significant challenges. The paper reviews these obstacles and suggests solutions
